I have been playing piano for 7 years and over the summer thought it would be fun to learn the guitar. How hard is it to pick up and is it easier than piano? Also, what is tab music? How much does a beginners guitar usually cost? Thanks so much!

it’ll be much easier for you than a person learning guitar as their first instrument. But, it is ALOT harder than piano. mainly because its alot different…a good begginers guitar would cost you between $100-350.
and a cheap amp would be around 100 dollars. (everything with guitar is expensive)
If your expecting it to be easy, than dont read this next part!!!
It will take you THOUSANDS of hours of practice to become very good at guitar…so take that into consideration too.

I came into an acoustic/electric Dean Espana nylon-string guitar with built-in tuner, line out, etc. I was taking "lessons" from a family member and have recently decided to go to someone with more of a well-structured lesson plan. I told the instructor I have an acoustic, but didn’t specify the type. I eventually want to move to a steel-string acoustic, but would my Espana be good for the time being?
I always suggest students start with a classical, or nylon stringed, guitar for a couple of reasons. First your finger tips will develop callouses with much less pain, and you will be able to practice more. And, The fingerboard is usually wider, allowing students more room for those untrained hands.

I started learning how to play guitar a little ago and now am trying to find some good free sites to learn some chords. Has anyone learned some chords from any good sites? Like you go into that site and it has groups of chords, like a group of minors and so on.
