Nice Lesson. Straight to the point and lots of energy! Ravi – He is playing a 12 string with 6 strings on it because the open E tuning is higher than normal and creates lots of tension on the neck and body of the guitar. The 12 String guitar can handle the extra tension

Is he playing a 12 string guitar that is strung with only 6 strings?

what you have to do …
what you have to do is put a finger (i do it with my ring finger) very lightly ON the fret, the place where the fret wire is. You’ll get a perfect sound.
If you still dont get a perfect sound, then i think that your guitar is not correctly tuned to the open E tuning. Try re-tuning it.

i sure bet you had a heck of a time tuning that 12 string to open e wow i can play this song in standard and know what your talking about but i dont see any reason in open e tune for 1 song since this is the only song ive ran across in open e in my playing style! props on the tuning!
