you can learn how to play a particular tune and you can also create your own but it is gonna be a little difficult for you to pluck the strings without a person to help you with them because i am also learning guitar and it was hard for me to copy them before but after learning the right way of playing guitar i can do it perfectly but keep on trying you can do well, ofcourse Best of luck hope it helps xoxoxo

He was pretty much self taught. He bugged his dad to get him a guitar(played a lot of air guitar on a broom) and he learned trying to imitate what he was hearing on the radio. Maybe some local kid showed him a few chords but that was it. Legend has it that he took a trip down south with his mother and ran into some blues cats that showed him some stuff. This rumour is unsubstantiated and Al Hendrix denies it vehemently, but he had a tumultuous relationship with Jimi’s mom, so who knows?
When you want it bad enough, it happens, with or without a teacher.

I play piano/drums/ukulele right now, and I really want to learn to play guitar. I first tried to learn a while back but failed because me fingers where to big, but now I lost some weight. I see more people playing guitar than any other instrument these days and it makes me made that I can’t play guitar.

Let’s first address the guitar you will be playing. Guitar necks come in different sizes. The wider the neck the further the strings will be from each other. The further apart the strings, the bigger your fingers can be.

Next, look at the space between the finger board and the strings. The greater the distance the harder it will be to press the strings down. It is harder to learn to play when your fingers are sore and tired.

Once you have the right guitar you need to practice daily on pressing the strings down using the tips of your fingers being careful not to touch the other strings because it will deaden the sounds of those strings.

It doesn’t matter at first what you play. You need to toughen up the tips of your fingers which can be done without even strumming. You can watch tv and quietly push down strings. Depending on your fingers, it may take 2 weeks to a month to condition your fingers so they will not hurt anymore.

Now you are ready to start playing the guitar.

I learned guitar from youtube and the Free jamorama lessons, once i learned the basics then i spent a little money for more quality lessons.

I’m 15, and my parents are finally going to let me learn to play guitar. I’ve never played any instrument before- how hard is it to learn acoustic guitar? In comparison to drums (or other instruments, such as violin, cello, etc), is it harder or easier?

Not any harder than any other instrument. One thing hard about Acoustic Guitar is getting your fingers used to the steel strings. Your fingers will hurt when you start out but eventually you will develop callouses on your fingers. Start out learning the basic open chords like E Minor, C, G, D, A Minor, and F. A guitar book is very helpful. If you have anymore questions don’t hesitate from sending me an e-mail. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!!!!!!!!

I’m not sure if this is a statement or if you’re asking if this is the easiest way. Either way you’re wrong. You wanna learn songs that push you.
