@ssens lool the stick is called a “pick”. playing with fingers is like having 4-5 picks (depending if you use your thumb or not) since you can use the fingers independently at different speeds or at the same time. you can perform more complex stuff with fingers (e.g. improvising on a scale and slurring …you can even play bass+melody at the same time if you’re really good) ;D lool…me i’m bollocks so i couldn’t do that…that’s why i’m on this vid i guess & great tutorial

Alternate picking is a technique used only with a plectrum right? So if I’m playing with my fingers I’m not supposed to use it?

Any combination of the notes on the scale sound awesome together. They seem to flow and work nicely together, try it.
