What is a quality electric guitar for beginners?
Author: admin // Category: Guitar For BeginnersI’ve been playing acoustic guitar for a month. I know a few songs, but there are a few songs I want to learn that sound better on electric guitar.
For beginners, a great guitar to get is this: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ibanez-GSA60-Electric-Guitar-103122719-i1150636.gc
It’s ideal for beginners, but still better quality than a squier or strat.
I bought this as my first guitar, and let me tell you, you cannot go wrong with this guitar.
Hope this helps!

Quality for beginners.
To me, this is a contradiction. Get a cheap guitar for beginning, like a Squier (with the whole kit deal) or something like that. Save the quality guitar until you’ve learned some quality playing.
The price tags I’ve seen on guitars lately seem pretty fair. You get what you pay for.

depends on your level of commitment and your price range. if you are planning on sticking with the electric guitar, then dropping 300-500 dollars is not a bad investment in the long run. if you are planning on just experimenting with the electric guitar, i certainly would not spend more than 200 dollars.
– Squier (by Fender) $100-250 range
– Fender Stat/Tele (mexican) $350-500 range
– Epiphone Les Paul/SG $300-600 range
it all depends on what you like, what you want to spend, and your plans for the future

If I were you I would go for one of the starter kit electrics. The instruments themselves are always decent quality for a beginner, plus it comes with things like an amp, lesson DVD, tuner, picks, strap, etc..all in one package so you dont have to buy everything separately.
Check out these electric packs, they are all good:
